These can be any colors, although red and light blue are the most common. Their appearance is always the same shape, with onion-shaped helms with a big tuft of feathers on the crest, poofy pants and a slim breastplate. ![]() Due to the nature of the job there are no character examples of it (unless you count the original playable characters of FF3, or their representative Onion Knight from Dissidia). In all other games it has appeared in, Onion Knight has been a special highly advanced or secret job, starting out very weak but becoming one of the strongest (or the strongest, as is most often the case) jobs in the game. Onion Knight (たまねぎ剣士 or 'onion swordsman' in Japanese) is the original 'basic' job (aka Freelancer), although it was featured in this role only in the original NES release of Final Fantasy III. ![]()
